Pay PDRM saman online with 50% using My Digital ID

The Malaysian government has launched the National Traffic Summons Discount Campaign, giving motorists a chance to pay summons online at half price from August 31 to September 16, 2025. 

This limited-time promotion is only available through the MyBayar PDRM app when logging in with MyDigital ID. It helps Malaysians save money while encouraging adoption of the country’s secure digital identity system.

Discounted summons rates

Drivers can now settle their summons at these reduced rates:

• Category A offences (speeding under 40 km/h, illegal U-turn, not wearing seatbelt): RM150 → RM75

• Category B offences (faulty lights, missing mirror): RM100 → RM50

• Category C offences (expired licence, missing ‘P’ plate): RM70 → RM35

• Major speeding over 40 km/h: RM300 → RM150

• Running a red light or driving without licence: RM150 → RM75

This is one of the most affordable chances for motorists to clear overdue fines while supporting Malaysia’s digital future.

How to sign up for mydigital id

You can sign up in two ways:

• At the kiosk in KL Sentral (next to McDonald’s, towards the MRT line): Insert your IC into the card holder, fill in your details, and create a password that is easy to remember. If you forget your login details, you must walk in to Bukit Aman to reset.

• Through the MyDigital ID app: Enter your IC number and complete facial verification using your phone camera. If you are registering for someone else, make sure they are physically present to complete the process.
