Since 2023, Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport (MoT) has collected over RM110 million from the sale of special vehicle number plates, mostly through the JPJ eBid system. These unique plates—like “GOLD 1” or “VIP 9”—are in high demand among collectors and business owners.

  • 2023 revenue: RM80 million

  • 2024 (Jan–June): RM33 million

All funds go directly to the national treasury.
